Natsuno Yuuki

a 15-years-old who lives and attends school in Sotoba. 

He hates living in the village and prefers to be in the city. 

He often exhibits a cold exterior.

especially disliking Megumi Shimizu's presence.

Natsuno is the very rare type of vampire like Tatsumi, 

who can stand the sunlight and cannot be killed, Werewolf. 

Natsuno avoids drinking human blood, which makes him weaker than Tatsumi, 

and allies himself with Toshio to bring down the Kirishiki family. 

Sunako Kirishiki

A 13-years-old girl who moves into the mansion atop the hill in Sotoba with her family. 

She has s rare genetic disorder known as SLE.

Sunako was originally a beloved daughter of a well-off family, 

she was bitten by a vampire Western noble, and revived as a Shiki. 

Toshio Ozaki

the dean of the hospital in Sotoba, 

he resigned from university hospital,

returning to take out father's position who he passed away. 

He is baffled by the mysterious death and swear to solve the problem to save the village. 

Seishin Muroi

Local priest in Sotoba, and an author in writing novels. 

His latest job is called 'Shiki', Corpse Demon.

He befriends with Sunako during her nightly visits to his place.

Although he eventually comes to discover the nature of the deaths in the village, 

but he refuse to take against the Kirishiki family.

Tatsumi

The servant of Kirishiki family. 

He is the special rare vampire which can withstand sunlight and cannot be killed,

Werewolf.

He has a great respect with Sunako. 

Tohru Mutou 

Natsuno's best friend. 

He is force to turns Natsuno into Shiki.

when Natsuno comes back as Shiki, 

although he doesn't tell anyone about Natsuno,

remains in Sunako side, doing everything to survive. 

even knowing Natsuno is their enemy,

he is still slowing distancing himself from his best friend. 

Megumi Shimizu

15-years-old girl who crush on Natsuno, 

she hates living in the village and longs for city life like Natsuno.

She later revives as a Shiki, and notably one of the most malicious Shikis.
